Through most of her teens, while attending The Shelton School,
Bev was also an outstanding select soccer player with Dallas
INTER soccer club, a varsity cheerleader, drill team captain
and Homecoming Queen.
I have been coaching/training Beverly since she was 15. Attending a
very small high school, Beverly and just a few others comprised
"the track team". Her senior year she qualified for "state",
then raced in the finals in the 100 and 200 meter events. At the state meet in
Waco she took 2nd place in the 200 and 4th in the 100.
Since her high school graduation in 2002 our training has been
comprised of core/weights and sprinting. Our favorite drill is me
throwing Bev football pass patterns, mostly "the fly and the deep out".
One day we started messing around punting and place kicking.
This super-jockette’s personal record is a 39 yard field goal.
I’m sure that is a national debutante record.
